Valve Releases Steam Beta App for Smartphones

Valve is always trying to improve on their services, and they always keep delivering… unless it’s Half Life 3 that is. Valve has begun the beta on the smartphone app of Steam. It allows you to connect and chat with friends, keep on top of what you’ve bought and the current sales, and browse groups. How can you get into the beta? Just download the app for free of course. “The Steam app comes from many direct requests from our customers,” commented Valve boss Gabe Newell. “Seeing which of your friends are online and playing a game, sending quick messages, looking at screenshots for an upcoming game, or catching a sale – these are all features customers have requested. “Mobile is changing way people interact, play games and consume media, and the Steam app is part of our commitment to meet customer demands and expand the service functionality of Steam to make it richer and more accessible for everyone.” Available for Android and iPhones, this is the next step of Valve.
