Retail Copies of “Black Ops” Stolen By Thief

People will go to extreme measures just for a game. Sadly, it’s like the game, where the thief has no real identity. In Alabama, Tennessee, a thief from a local printing press with a copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops. But he didn’t just sell one, he stole many for his associates, one of them who was once part of an underground hacking forum. The thief, known as the ‘Ungodly Leaker’ posted the disc online on the forums. He once did the same with Halo: Reach. Josh Olin, community manager for Treyarch, had also tried to enter the forums and grab information from it’s members, but was permantly banned. He did manage to get in contact with the forum member, known as 97SIRHB. Via twitter, they swapped AIM and had been on the phone for a while. The same member, after talking with Josh, posted a thread on the forums stating that he had talked to Josh and that he stated if the game was leaked, he would make sure that the entire site was shut down. It’s unknown if the go ahead of the leak will happen, but if it does, it will cause both Treyarch and Activision harm financially. Black Ops is due for release on November 9th.
