UPDATE: Ubisoft has confirmed the development of Rayman Legends, but have also said some other things of great importance in regarding the Wii U features:“An internal video showing images of Rayman Origins’ sequel has leaked over the Internet. This video was intended as a purely internal demonstrative video, and in NO way represents the final game, the final console or their features. This video was destined for internal production teams who often create game prototypes with work in progress development kits. Ubisoft confirms the development of Rayman Legends handled by Michel Ancel and his team in Montpellier.“
We reported a little while ago about a survey which apparently leaked information about the sequel to Rayman Origins.
Today a trailer has come about of the sequel, known as Rayman Legends, which has pretty much what the survey described it would have and more. Remember how in the previous game you could only do local 4 player co-op? Well now online co-op is here, so now you can play what could possibly be the next best Rayman game with your friends across the world. The game also slightly changes it’s art style and adds social gaming, where you can challenge your friends to beat your scores.
Whats more is that the trailer shows off some Wii U gameplay, and one part of it is quite interesting as the Wii U acts the same way as the device used for Skylanders, allowing you to put extra lives and even Rabbids into the game… and Ezio from Assassin’s Creed by the looks of things, but perhaps that’s just a tease. There is no confirmed release date yet. Check out the trailer below. Don’t worry about the non-english Youtube text as the trailer is in English:
