Insomniac are mixing things up with the latest iteration of Ratchet & Clank, the platformers next instalment features a tower defense mechanic and supports Cross-Buy; meaning a purchase on PlayStation 3 provides you a copy for Vita too. It’s just unfortunate that we won’t be seeing the vita copy released on time.
“In order to provide the best gameplay experience possible, the PS Vita version of Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault (Q Force in Europe) will be coming out in January 2013,”
As an apology for the delay Sony will be giving the mini-boss skin pack away free of charge, featuring three fan-favorite boss characters from past games, including Chainblade from Going Commando and the Two-eyed Tyrhrranoid from Up Your Arsenal.
Personally I was looking forward to playing Q Force on Vita more than PlayStation 3, but it’s certainly not a deal breaker and I doubt it’s been an easy job for Tin Giant to port the game and implement cross-play functionality.
