Wondering how on earth you’re going to afford all the remaining upcoming games for 2011 and the PS Vita? Well if you were worried on money, good news! The PS Vita is not coming to the EU or US until 2012, which could also be considered bad news to those who hoped it would be released this year.
There were rumors going about that the UK would get an October release date for the PS Vita, but it turns out that it was just a rumor. But if you live in Japan, then you’re in luck, as Kazuo Hirai, Executive Deputy President of Sony, said that the PS Vita will still be released before the year is out.
There’s still no mention of a price cut for the UK either, as we’re paying around 50% more than US folk. However, in response to the 3DS price cut, Hirai said: “We packed so much into the device [PS Vita] and made it very affordable. There is no need to lower the price just because somebody else that happens to be in the video game business decided that they were going to lower their price.”
So in terms of the Vita not getting a 2011 release for US and EU, it’s good news to those who want to buy so much in Q4 and might not be able to afford it, and bad news to those just having their sights set on buying the 3DS, or indeed those who can afford it all.
