Portal 2 finally has an official release date.
Originally intended for February, Portal 2 was delayed until April 2011, and now the full release date will be April 21, 2011.
“Portal 2 is Valve’s most innovative title in the company’s history and will be launched with a first-class launch campaign this April,” said Doug Lombardi who is vice president of marketing at Valve.
Not only that, but EA Games have also announced that they will be working with Valve, helping to distribute the PS3 and Mac version (although we do 360 news, we thought we’d poke that in there too). EA Games were responsible on bringing the Orange Box to the PS3. Lombardi continued “We’re excited to be working with Electronic Arts to deliver this title as we expand our platform strategy to include the Mac and PlayStation 3 platforms.”
How long will it be until Valve delay it again? A reason why they may have delayed it from February is to avoid a clash with Bulletstorm, which EA Games are also helping to develop.
