OUYA Kickstarter Ends at Over $8.5 Million
Today, OUYA’s Kickstarter finally ended at a grand total of $8,596,475.
With 63,416 backers, OUYA is the second highest amount a Kickstarter has ever earned, and the best part of it is that more pledges are still coming in. The original goal for OUYA was $950,000 by the 9th August 2012. 12 people even pledged more than $10,000, to which they’ll receive some awesome gifts for doing so.
If you don’t know what OUYA is, it’s an open-source games console due for release early next year that will play a wide variety of Android-based games, making the console live amongst the big ones, including the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, Wii U and OnLive. The console itself will be priced at $99.
