Mortal Kombat’s 1, 2 and 3 Come to XBLA

Ever played the first three Mortal Kombats? No? Nor have I. But now you can see just what the fuss was about from the beginning. The first three Mortal Kombats will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade this summer in all it’s glory. “We are very excited to finally have the first three Mortal Kombat games available in one download package for long-time and new fans to play,” said Ed Boon who is the Creative Director at NetherRealm Studios. “With the release of our 2011 Mortal Kombat, and its return to 2D gameplay, players have been asking for these classic titles and we are happy to deliver them.” While they won’t be the exact same games as Mortal Kombat 1, 2 and 3, they will be pretty close, using the same characters from those games, plus with the addition of achievements, leaderboards and online play. How bloody is that? EEEM. Not so much huh? The package will cost you just 800MSP. If you don’t already know, Mortal Kombat 9 (just called Mortal Kombat) came out the same day as Portal 2, so go check that out!
