Metro: Last Light was an odd game: while the depressing atmosphere of the post-apocalyptic Moscow was a very interesting concept to experience, the combat often felt lackluster and empty. However, it topped the charts in the retail and, apparently, the sales made enough of an impression on the publisher Deep Silver to give a green light for a sequel.
Deep Silver CEO Klemenz Kundratitz claims that the publisher was pleased with the amount of attention the game got both from the gamesrs and the press, adding that making a third game in the franchise is their “ambition”.
However, he also said that possible sequels will be made more accessible. That may hurt the franchise quite a bit, as it was always unforgiving and difficult to play. Let’s hope the publisher changes its’ mind.
