When Metal Gear Solid 4 was released in 2008, not only did it exceed many expectations, but unfortunately, it missed the date when trophies were going to be implemented, with one month between the two (MGS4 released in June 2008, Trophy support in July 2008).
For the past 4 years, gamers have been crying out for Metal Gear Solid 4 to get trophies; some claiming “it needs it”. Well it’s taken 4 year to get here, but it’s finally been revealed that the game will get them.
The trophies will arrive in the upcoming budget patch in August according to Hideo Kojima. Current Metal Gear Solid 4 owners will be able to download a patch, whilst new players (if they so wished to) could buy “Playstation 3 The Best” (just call it “The Best of Playstation 3” version) when it releases.
Hideo also revealed there will be an announcement at the 25th Anniversary Event of the franchise.
