OK lets all forget about Mass Effect: Galaxy for a minute, because at a press event in New York, Bioware announced the iOS Mass Effect game that fans have been waiting for… Mass Effect: Infiltrator!
The game has been detailed as a “fully featured iOS 3rd person shooter” with “stunning graphics and authentic weapons and powers from the Mass Effect series.”
The story has two main objectives; freeing prisoners from a hostile Cerberus base, and collecting evidence of Cerberus’ crimes. The objectives result rewards through Mass Effect 3. EA have stated “Every completed rescue and intelligence discovery in Infiltrator will increase a player’s Galactic Readiness rating directly through the ‘Galaxy at War’ system in Mass Effect 3.”
The “Galaxy at War” system will also tie into the games multiplayer creating a truly unique experience for Mass Effect 3.
In other Mass Effect iOS news (yes it’s a category today), Bioware also announced the Mass Effect: Datapad app that allows users to stay in touch with Mass Effect news, check the status of the war in the galaxy map and even receive messages from characters in game.
