L.A. Noire Rockstar pass facts sheet

Yesterday Rockstar games released the L.A. Noire Rockstar pass for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live which left many wondering what it does and what it is, so today Rockstar released this Facts sheet which shows us the details on the upcoming DLC for L.A. Noire   L.A. Noire Rockstar Pass Fact sheet The Rockstar Pass is a new way to pre-order DLC for L.A. Noire. Purchase of the Rockstar Pass grants access to seven pieces of DLC, including two unreleased cases available later this summer. From May 31 – June 13, the Rockstar Pass will be available at the discounted price of $10.00 (PlayStation Network) / 800 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE), a 50% total savings versus purchasing each piece of content individually. Beginning June 14, the Rockstar Pass can be purchased for $12.00 (Playstation Network)/ 960 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE), a 40% total savings versus purchasing each piece of content individually. Once purchased, the Rockstar Pass enables gamers to download all announced DLC for free as it becomes available on the Playstation Network and Xbox LIVE. The announced DLC includes all the standalone pre-order cases, collectibles, challenges, and all associated PSN trophies and Xbox LIVE achievements. DLC available for download with the Rockstar pass as of May 31, 2011 includes: The Chicago Piano Machine Gun (Free) The Chicago Piano, used by both law enforcement officers and criminals, was favored for its reliability, ergonomics, compact size, large 45-round cartridge, and high rate of automatic fire. This bonus weapon will be stored in the trunk of Detective Cole Phelps’ car throughout L.A. Noire, ensuring that extra firepower is always close at hand.   The Broderick Detective Suit ($0.99 PSN / 80 MS Points / Free with Rockstar Pass) The Broderick unlockable suit boosts Cole Phelps’ fist-fighting abilities and resilience to damage. Throughout L.A. Noire, Phelps will inevitably encounter suspects or persons of interest who prove resistant to arrest. Phelps’ hand-to-hand fighting skills could be called into action in these cases and the Broderick suit, which enhances his fighting abilities, will help give Cole the edge in making that collar.   The Sharpshooter Detective Suit ($0.99 PSN / 80 MS Points / Free with Rockstar Pass) The Sharpshooter unlockable suit enhances your aim with rifles and pistols. Always a worst case scenario for any Detective working a case, there are inevitably occasions when pursuing or confronting a suspect escalates to gunfire. In these shootout situations, the Sharpshooter suit gives Cole extra aiming precision to take criminals down.   The Badge Pursuit Challenge ($1.99 PSN / 160 MS Points / Free with Rockstar Pass) Hidden around L.A. Noire’s beautiful recreation of 1947 Los Angeles are 20 police badges to find and collect. Find all 20 of these badges to unlock the dapper Button Man Detective suit which provides extra ammo for all weapons. Each badge also provides 5 additional XP which will help further unlock Intuition Points – special credits that can be used to give Phelps a key investigative insight when he needs it most.   The Naked City Vice Case ($3.99 PSN / 320 MS Points / Free with Rockstar Pass) Julia Randall, a stunning young fashion model with the world at her feet, is found dead, floating in her own bathtub. To the Homicide Squad it looks like a textbook society suicide – a glamorous life come to a nasty end – but coroner Malcolm Carruthers remains unconvinced. It falls to Detectives Phelps and Earle to work the scene, and determine which of Miss Randall’s many vices finally killed her.   A Slip of the Tongue Traffic Case ($3.99 PSN / 320 MS Points / Free with Rockstar Pass) When a suspect caught behind the wheel of a stolen car claims to have bought the vehicle fair and square, Detectives Phelps and Bekowsky are unimpressed. When he produces a pink slip and bill of sale as proof, they sit up and take notice. There follows an investigation that will throw up bumbling car thieves, double talking auto dealers, and a theft racket that stretches across Los Angeles and the state line.   ** Available June 21, 2011** Nicholson Electroplating Arson Case ($3.99 PSN / 320 MS Points / Free with purchase of the Rockstar Pass)   **Available July 12, 2011** Reefer Madness Vice Case ($3.99 PSN / 320 MS Points / Free with purchase of the Rockstar Pass)
