343 Industries are skipping the multiplayer beta, a trait Bungie have used on many Halo games, opting instead for the developer to test the game at a “significant scale”. 343 are focusing on polishing and shipping the game. It’s certainly an interesting move considering the large impact the community had in shaping both Halo 3 and Halo Reach.
“While we are testing Halo 4 code, gameplay, and systems at significant scale to get excellent data, input, and feedback, we are focused on polishing and shipping our experience for the duration of the year, and splitting resources to manage and build a beta is not on our schedule,” reads the message.
Halo 4 will be released this Holiday season; the direct sequel to Halo 3 bringing Master Chief back to the front lines.
