Gran Turismo 6 — New Trailer And Details
At Gamescom Sony have recently revealed a new trailer for the upcoming game in the Gran Turismo franchise. Almost all trailers from Polyphony Digital have been amazing to watch, and this one is no exception: the game looks breathtaking and the choice of music for the video is admirable to say the least.
Eagle-eyed fans of the racing series have already noted that the trailer contains a couple of new exciting concepts from Zagato, Alfa Romeo, BMW and other manufacturers. PD have confirmed that these concepts will make an appearance in the full game, althought the vast majority of them will only be available as DLC, which will supposedly be released in 2014. Speaking of cars, the game will have around 1200 of them at release. This amount supposedly contains the full car roster from GT 5 as well as some new racing machines.
The good news don’t end here, though. PD have also revealed that the online mode, which was done pretty poorly in Gran Turismo 5, will be drastically improved. Qualifying will be added to the races (it is currently unkown whether it will be present in the offline mode) and it will also be possible to host online time trial events as well as drift competitions. You can look at the screenshots for the improved online mode as well as the official box art for the game below.
