EA Sports have announced a deal with FIFA that extends their licensing agreement until December 31st 2022, that’s a lot more sequels to the popular football franchise.
The agreement states that EA will retain exclusive rights to the development of FIFA branded titles and their status as a “presenting partner” of the FIFA Interactive World Cup. With the shock announcement of FIFA 14, it’s no surprise that EA are looking to keep reining this cash cow all the way to the bank.
Strong sales of FIFA have seen the title get larger and larger with each release and while we remain gripped by football fever, I doubt EA have much to worry about. Bring on FIFA 23!
