Bungie’s Codenamed Game “Destiny” Info Leak

Bungie stopped making Halo. I hope you’ve got that because they are now busy developing their latest I.P, code-named ‘Destiny’ a sci-fantasy action shooter. Documents from an Activision court case have outed details on the franchise Bungie are creating for them. What we know:
  • Four ‘Destiny’ titles
    • Released Fall 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019
  • Four downloadable expansions known as ‘Comet’
  • Released fall 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020
    • Release on Xbox 2013, with a PlayStation port possible in 2014 after a ‘joint technical feasibility analysis’
  • The first Destiny game will also be available on ‘Xbox 720’ the console developed as a successor to the 360
  • Coment expansions will be compatible with Xbox 360, Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4 with a PC version released later.
The contract also states that if the game receives an aggregate score of 90 or better on, Bungie will receive a $2.5million bonus, along with the option to devote up to 5% of its work force to creating a new Marathon title, the shooter described as Doom for the Macintosh. This contract is from 2010, so how much of this is still valid remains to be seen. Will we hear from Destiny at E3?
