Treyarch have announced that Black Ops will support 3D.
Treyarch boss Mark Lamia said: “We do the games in a real-time 3D engine, so doing stereoscopic 3D was really natural. You can turn it on or off at any time. There are elements of 3D that are emulated really, really well in that world. We have huge environments that look awesome in 3D. There’s absolutely overhead for rendering additional frames. However, we have tuned it so that it’s very smooth and feels very good to the player.”
UPDATE: According to OneOfSwords, you will indeed need a 3DTV to play it in 3D, so this might tempt you to invest in one.
Black Ops is to be released November 9th in normal edition, hardened edition, and prestiege edition.
