Black Ops DLC Announced (First Strike)

The first DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops has been officially announced. And guess who announced it? The one… the only… MAJOR NELSON! The news was announced on Major Nelson’s weekly podcast, released yesterday, which had special guest Dan Bunting, from Treyarch Studios, announcing the news. Known as “First Strike”, the DLC will contain 4 new multiplayer maps and 1 brand new zombie maps, and is to be released February 1st, 2010 for the Xbox 360 (remember, Xbox 360 get it timed exclusive for one month. Don’t give us that “Thanks for Beta Testing for us” PS3 folk!). Of course, with every Call of Duty game comes a high price… The DLC will cost (wait for it)……. 1200MSP! Woop? The maps are:
  • Discovery –  Set in an antarctic German Research center
  • Berlin Wall – Who knows what this could be (he said sarcastically)
  • Stadium – Set inside a United States hockey rink (Yes. This is real.)
  • Kowloon – Set in the Chinese city on rooftops
  • Ascension – Zombie map
None of these maps are supposivly single player remake maps… that’s funny, as Kowloon’s description sounds familiar to a mission in Black Ops.
