Assassin’s Creed: Revelations Officially Announced

Oh yes. It has finally been announced, and is of course, the cover for Game Informer for June. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is the fourth main game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, which has sold over 28 million units worldwide since the franchise began in 2007. From the official press release, here is the games sypnosis: “In Assassin’s Creed Revelations, master assassin Ezio Auditore walks in the footsteps of his legendary mentor, Altaïr, on a journey of discovery and revelation. It is a perilous path – one that will take Ezio to Constantinople, the heart of the Ottoman Empire, where a growing army of Templars threatens to destabilize the region.” So here’s what is now known:
  • Altair returns
  • Ezio also returning
  • Desmond obviously returns too
  • Ezio travels abroad to locations such as Constantinople.
  • New weapons
  • Brand new multiplayer features, including new modes and maps
  • This will be Ezio’s final chapter.
No doubt there will be more shown at E3 2011, and let’s hope there may be something shown at Eurogamer 2011.
