Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood “The Da Vinci Disappearance” DLC Announced
Ubisoft has just announced the release of the new DLC for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. The new DLC, named The Da Vinci Disappearance, will be available for download on March 8, 2011 on XBOX LIVE for 800 Microsoft points.
The Da Vinci Disappearance will include both single-player and multiplayer content for the game, which is a nice turn of events, considering developers only churn out MP content for their games post-release. For the SP side, it follows the fall of the Borgia in Rome. Your good friend Leonardo Da Vinci is kidnapped by the Hermeticists, an underground cult and Ezio must set out on a quest to recover stolen paintings that will lead him to finding Leonardo. This will add two new locations to the game and two new gameplay features, which haven’t been disclosed yet.
On the MP side, a new map, four new characters and two new game modes will be included. The new multiplayer map is called Alhambra, and will be set in Spain’s Albaicin of Granada. The four new characters are: Dama Rossa, the Knight, the Marquis and the Pariah. There are also two new gameplay modes, Escort and Assassinate. In Escort mode, two teams of four players compete compete against each other. In it, each team must protect their VIP target or assassinate the other team’s VIP. In Assassinate mode, 6-8 players are put up against each other in classic deathmatch style in one ten minute round, the one with the highest number of kills being the winner.
