Rocksteady have revealed in the latest trailer for Batman: Arkham City, that the player will be able to play as Selina Kyle, or as she’s better known Catwoman, when the game releases this October.
Along with an interview over at Gamespot, the new trailer showcasing the protagonist fighting her way through gangs in the city’s underbelly released earlier today. It won’t be a case of cooperative play, instead the player will get to play as Catwoman at certain points during the campaign, as well as side quests exclusive to her character.
She will come with a smaller arsenal of gadgets in comparison to Batman, but she has her own combat system and navigation to alternate the experience. In the interview, Dax Ginn from Rocksteady says “With Catwoman we get a brilliant character who will allow gamers to indulge in a darker side” and then goes on to say “With Catwoman, you can take a walk on the wild side and take a break from being the defender of Gotham.”
Will Catwoman also be playable in the challenge rooms? We’ll have to find out for ourselves when the game releases this October on 360, and no doubt the game will be shown off next week at E3. Here’s your new trailer.
