Alan Wake found on Steam’s Registry

Just after the announcement of Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, Remedy’s Aki Järvilehto said in an interview: “We have received feedback from a lot of PC gamers, and I have to admit that yes, we somehow ignored that.  Let’s see if in the near future we could have some positive news to tell you about dating!” Well this announcement could be closer than we think… It was not long found out that Alan Wake itself has appeared on Steam’s registry in all sorts of languages, possibly confirming the PC release that was promised years ago, but never happened. This wouldn’t be the first time that the registry has confirmed a game’s existence on Steam, as the same thing happened with Sonic Generations which just happened to be true. No doubt if this is true, the game’s sales may boost dramatically as there’s a large group of PC gamers out there that have wanted to get their hands on the game for years. Plus if you’re like me, you’d want to get it on PC too even if you have the Xbox 360 version! And this wouldn’t be the first time an Xbox 360 exclusive game has come to Steam either, with the release of Fable III through Steam and Games for Windows Live. You can even see this for yourself on page 133 here. What do you think? Are we weeks away from an announcement? Months? Or still years? Check out the registry images below (click to enlarge):
